About Anthony Winker

Since 2021, Anthony boasts an impressive collection of experiences. Over the course of the last five years, he has broadcast over 300 events. He is currently working for LiveBarn in Minnesota, mostly for the Lake Conference Network, a first-of-its-kind streaming network dedicated to a high school conference, and MNHockeyTV.
Anthony was raised in Minnesota, but decided to attend college at his childhood dream school, the University of Wisconsin. At Wisconsin, he joined WSUM Student Radio, Big Ten Plus and the Badger Herald where he has developed a diverse skillset in different aspects of the sports media industry including hosting and broadcasting on the air and sportswriting while covering Badgers athletics. He covered six different sports in some capacity at Wisconsin - football, basketball, hockey, soccer, softball and volleyball - but his favorite is hockey. With a clip from his men's hockey broadcast on January 24, 2026 on the WSUM Sports Stream, he earned first place in the Best Hockey Play-by-Play category at the 2025-26 IBS College Media Awards.
Anthony is also a part of Gametime MN, a service that broadcasts high school games in the Twin Cities, as well as co-hosts a hockey podcast called Puckworms. In the offseason, Anthony enjoys attending sporting events as a fan, hanging out with friends and listening to music and podcasts.
